Jaipur: Gandhi Nagar police on Tuesday arrested two students of a Mansarovar-situated private college for leaking the physics paper of Rajasthan University’s BSc second year examination. The police are investigating whether they had bought the paper from someone or some Rajasthan University (RU) professor made it available to them.

The BSc students were identified as Harmesh and Maniram Meena. They were produced in a court that sent them to three-day police custody for further interrogation.

Police suspect that the students received the physics paper of BSC 2nd year shortly before the exam began. Someone sent them the paper on WhatsApp.

The police investigation is being conducted under the supervision of senior police officers including ACP, Gandhi Nagar Rajpal Godara. Police said that the investigation is going on and they would soon disclose the real culprits behind the RU paper leak.

The Rajasthan University administration had earlier refuted reports of the paper leak, saying that they were rumours. The arrests have proved that the paper was in fact leaked. However, there was no clarity whether the exam would be re-conducted.
