RTU Kota sexual exploitation case: Audio clip goes viral
The student identified as Arpit was arrested after another girl approached the police accusing the assistant professor of sexually blackmailing her.

JAIPUR: The police have arrested a student in connection with the sexual exploitation of girls by an assistant professor at Rajasthan Technical University, Kota. The student acted as a middleman and used to threaten girls that the professor would fail them if they didn’t have a sexual relationship.
The student identified as Arpit was arrested after another girl approached the police accusing the assistant professor of sexually blackmailing her. Two girl students of RTU Kota have come forward with these allegations so far.
The police interrogated assistant professor Girish Parmar. The statement of the girl who had exposed the matter was recorded before a magistrate.
An audio clip has gone viral in which Girish and Arpit are allegedly talking about threatening girls.
Girish is accused of threatening girls and forcing them to have a sexual relationship with him. He threatened that he would fail them in the exam if they didn’t oblige. Arpit is accused of approaching girls on behalf of the professor.
In the audio clip, the professor and the student refers to many girls. The professor is heard saying that he would see to it that the girl didn’t pass the exam. They refer to the names of many other girls also.
After the audio clip went viral, parents reached the university and staged a demonstration demanding action against the assistant professor and others involved in the sexual exploitation of the girls.
The university administration has set up a three-member committee to investigate the matter.
