RTO Jaipur: Now you have to pay your driving license fee online

Jaipur: People applying for driving licenses at Jhalana, Jagatpura and Vidhyadhar Nagar offices of Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Jaipur will now have to pay their driving license fee online.
The department has discontinued over-the-counter payment system altogether.
Only online payment of driving license fee will be accepted from Tuesday, said regional transport officer Kalpana Agarwal.
The fee for learning driving license, permanent driving license and duplicate driving license will be accepted online only, the officer said.
“We tested this online payment facility for a week and when we found it to be successful, we have now decided to accept online payment. The system of over-the-counter payment at RTO offices in Jaipur has been discontinued,” said Agarwal.
She added that online payment would make it very convenient for people to pay their driving license fee without hassles. They won’t have to stand in queues for hours or even visit the RTO exclusively for making payments. She said that it would also bring transparency in the licensing work.
