Jaipur: The second grade teachers recruitment in Rajasthan have hit fresh controversies. The Rajasthan government has served notices to the RPSC and the Rajasthan government for giving recruitment to candidates who secured minus marks. The court has sought an explanation from the RPSC and the government as to how candidates who secured -23 and -9 marks were recruited.

One Manisha Dhadich filed a petition in the Jodhpur bench of Rajasthan high court. The court issued notice after hearing the petition.

In the petition, Manisha alleged that candidates who secured minus marks (less than zero) in the mathematics subject of senior teacher recruitment – 2016 in the cut-off lists of the SC/ST category got selected. Similarly in the ex-army non TSP category, the students who secured -23 marks got selected.

“Even the students of class VI have to secure 36 percent marks to pass. How can the government select candidates who secured minus marks as teachers?,” the petition argued.

The petitioner said that what kind of contribution could be expected from the candidates who become mathematics teachers after being selected with minus marks.

The high court has given the government and RPSC four weeks to submit replies.
