Rohit Godara again threatens Jaipur businessman; demands Rs 20 lakh extortion money

JJAIPUR: Gangster Rohit Godara, operating from abroad, continues to threaten residents of Jaipur. Recently, a property businessman from Jaipur was targeted by Godara, who demanded Rs 20 lahks via a WhatsApp call from an international number.
The 31-year-old property businessman, a resident of Sardarshahar, Churu, reported the incident to Sindhi Camp police station, where a case has been registered against Godara. The businessman resides in an apartment near the Jaipur railway station and received the extortion demand on March 26 while visiting his second house in Kanti Nagar, Sindhicamp.
Godara identified himself in the WhatsApp message and threatened the businessman during a subsequent call, stating that he would “have to repent” if he did not comply with the demand. The businessman protested that he did not have the required amount, to which Godara responded with a threat to his safety.
The victim reported that this was not the first time Godara had contacted him, as he had received two similar calls in the past 20-25 days. The Sindhi Camp police have initiated an investigation into the case.
A red corner notice has been issued against Rohit Godara, who has dozens of cases of intimidation and extortion registered against him. The Rajasthan Police are searching for Godara, who is wanted with a reward of Rs 1 lakh.
Recently, Godara also threatened Ladnun MLA Mukesh Bhakar of Nagaur district, demanding extortion money and creating tension for the Rajasthan Police. Several operatives associated with Godara’s gang have been arrested in the past.
