Jaipur: The work on Ring Road has remained stalled for the past two years following disputes between the companies tasked with the project and Jaipur Development Authority (JDA), but it will resume now.
If everything goes as planned, National Highway Authority of India (NHAI) will likely sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with JDA by the end of this month.
NHAI will start working on the Ring Road Project in July.
In order to finalize the draft of the MoU, senior JDA officials including JDC Vaibhav Galeria held a meeting with NHAI officials in Delhi on Tuesday.
A settlement committee led by a retired high court judge will complete a report to settle the contract between the companies and the JDA. The committee is likely to submit its report in a week.
JDA had prepared a settlement claim of Rs 7000 crore citing negligence of companies, but it has now been reduced to Rs 200 crore.
