Jaipur: Jhalana Jungle Safari will soon be more exciting and appealing for visitors. The ongoing renovation work is likely to be completed by the second week of next month.

The forest department is making the entry more attractive and will offer several other facilities. The administration has taken this step to popularize the flora and fauna of Jhalana forest and make the safari more convenient for visitors, said GV Reddy, Chief Conservator of Forests (CCF)

There will be several changes in the safari from October. The administration has replaced the old entry gate with a new one. The new main entry gate will be a fort-like structure with Karauli’s famous red-colored stones. On the top of this big main gate, three artificial panthers have been made which look almost real from a distance.

The amenities like restaurants and air-conditioned waiting rooms are also being introduced for the visitors. An Interpretation centre will be set up where all the information and details of the Jhalana Safari and wildlife species will be provided in form of presentations, videos, images and posters.

For the wildlife lovers, a shop will be opened where people will be able to buy books, paintings, T-shirts and other forest-related items. A large parking place will also be built to accommodate more vehicles.

The Jhalana Forest Reserve is located in the heart of the Jaipur at Malviya Nagar Industrial area. It is spread across over an area of 22 sq. km. The Safari was introduced in 2017 and over 100 tourists visit the place daily.
