Jaipur: The Rajasthan High Court has issued a notice to the state government in connection with the REET paper leak case. The court has sought the government’s reply on the petition seeking a CBI investigation into the paper leak. The notice was issued to the principal secretary of the education department, DGP, director of elementary education, Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education, Ajmer and ADG, SOG.

The petition accused the government of not probing the REET paper leak allegations in an unbiased manner. The copies of the petition were provided to the AAG and the RBSE advocates. The hearing took place before the bench of Justice Indrajeet Singh.

The petition seeks investigation into the case by CBI or some other agency based out of state. It also seeks the exams to be conducted again if the paper leak allegations were found true after an unbiased probe.

Rampratap Saini, the lawyer who represents petitioners, told the court that the exam was conducted on September 26 in two shifts with the first shift starting at 10 am. He told the court that a constable – Devendra Singh – received the paper on his WhatsApp at 8.30 am. Devendra Singh then sold the paper to many others.

An FIR in this regard has been registered with the police in Gangapur City of Sawaimadhopur.
