REET – 2022 online applications to be accepted from tomorrow

Jaipur: Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) will accept application forms for Rajasthan Eligibility Examination for Teacher (REET) – 2022 from Monday. The candidates have been asked to submit the forms online. The last date for the form submission is May 18.

According to the directions issued by RBSE, the passport-size photograph to be uploaded with the form should not be older than 3 months. The students will need to upload their secondary education mark sheet. If a candidate submits more than one application, only one application should be online before the last date. It is for the candidate to remove other applications. If multiple applications were found, the form would be rejected.

The candidates will also need to provide their mobile number and email address so that they get information and updates about the exam on time. The exam is likely to be conducted on July 23 and July 24.

The REET certificate will now have lifetime validity. It earlier had a validity of three years. REET – 2022 is being reconducted. The REET conducted before was cancelled amid reports of paper leaks and cheating.

The Rajasthan government had recently introduced The Rajasthan Public Examination (Measures for Prevention of Unfair Means in Recruitment) Bill, 2022 to prevent paper leaks and cheating cases in government recruitment exams.

The recently introduced bill has strict provisions of punishment including up to 10-year imprisonment and penalties in the form of fines up to Rs 10 crore and attachment/ confiscation of property.

As per the bill, anyone associated with the examination, including the examinee, or someone impersonating, or trying to leak the question paper, or procuring the paper in an unauthorised manner, or assisting the examinee in public examination in an unauthorised manner, shall be punished with imprisonment between five and 10 years and a fine from Rs 10 lakh to Rs 10 crore..
