REET – 2021: Heavy security at examination centres in Jaipur

Jaipur: The students appearing in REET – 2021 had to go through heavy security arrangements at examination centres in Jaipur. For 31,000 posts of teachers, over 25.34 lakh students are appearing in the exam at 3,993 examination centres across the state. There are 592 examination centres in Jaipur. a
Nearly 2.5 lakh students arrived in Jaipur from different parts of Rajasthan to appear in the examination that is being conducted in two shifts. The exam for the first shift started at 10 am. The aspirants queued up outside examination centres since morning. They were allowed entry till 9.30 am. Students who arrived a few minutes late were seen pleading with security personnel to allow them entry. There were reports that they were allowed to enter the examination with a warning. Policemen from nearby police stations were deputed at each examination centres. They frisked students at the entry gate.
Over 30,000 CCTVs have been installed at examination centres across the state. Barmer, Sawai Madhopur, Karuali, Dausa, Nagaur, Sikar, Bharatpur, Jhunjhunu and Jalore have been earmarked as sensitive centres and 100% of the examination centres in these districts are under CCTV surveillance.
Since internet services have been snapped in the Jaipur commissionerate area, the people couldn’t make online payments. Students who arrived in Jaipur from other districts were advised to carry cash. The government has arranged for free food and travel for the aspirants.
The internet services will resume in Jaipur at 5 pm.
