Record tourist footfall in Jaipur during Holi holidays
The footfall is expected to go even higher in coming days due to the scheduled IPL 2019 matches in the city at SMS stadium starting from March 25, said tourism department officials.

Jaipur: Jaipur witnessed a record footfall of tourists and local visitors over the past three days due to Holi festival leaves and weekend. Over 75000 people visited the famous tourist spots of the city and did shopping at the old markets of the Walled City.
The footfall is expected to go even higher in coming days due to the scheduled IPL 2019 matches in the city at SMS stadium starting from March 25, said tourism department officials.
A total of seven IPL 2019 matches will be played at SMS Stadium in Jaipur in the T20 league’s 12th edition between March 25 and April 27.
According to the officials, the heavy tourist football in the city is mostly seen in December end due to winter holidays and summer holidays in June and July. The same tourist ratio was found in the city in the past days. A large number of tourists visited the city from which the tourism industry highly benefited.
Thousands of people visited Amer Fort, Jantar Mantar, Hawa Mahal, Albert Hall and other tourist spots of the city, added officials.
Visitors toll and income at tourist spots in Jaipur on March 22:
- Amer Fort: 10985 visitors, income of around Rs 22.96 lakh
- Jantar Mantar: 6715 visitors, income of approx. Rs 7.59 lakh
- Hawa Mahal: 4987 visitors, income of approx. Rs 3.17 lakh
- Albert Hall: 3174 visitors, income of approx. Rs 1.74 lakh
Total: 25661 visitors, income of approx. Rs 35.44 lakh
Visitors toll and income at a tourist spot on March 23:
- Amer Fort: 10106 visitors, income of approx. Rs 16.55 lakh
- Jantar Mantar: 6396 visitors, income of approx. Rs 5.94 Lakh
- Hawa Mahal: 5578 visitors, income of approx. Rs 3.14 lakh
- Albert Hall: 3734 visitors, income of approx. Rs 2.12 lakh
Total: 25714 visitors, income of approx. Rs 27.77 lakh
