Jaipur: Panic gripped SDM court premises in Rawatsar town of Hanumangarh district after unidentified men opened firing at a local corporator identified as Harveer Saharan in full public view. Harveer sustained six bullet injuries and rushed to a hospital in Hanumangarh in a critical condition. According to preliminary reports, the victim died at a hospital while undergoing treatment.
Harveer is the husband of local municipality chairperson Neelam Saharan.

The police have launched an investigation into the firing incident and said that the shooters will soon be identified. The condition of Harveer was critical when he was rushed to hospital, according to reports. The incident took place around noon.
The police are trying to find out if anyone had animosity towards Harveer. The statements of his friends, relatives and family members are being recorded. Heavy police force has been deployed on SDM court premises to maintain law and order. A massive hunt has been launched for the shooters.
The broad daylight murder created panic in Rawatsar.
