Jaipur: Rajasthan public service commission (RPSC) on Wednesday filed an appeal in the double bench of Rajasthan high court against the single bench’s order that directed the commission to release a revised result of RAS-pre exam 2018. Wednesday was an holiday, but the court was functioning, enabling RPSC to file the appeal.
RPSC wants to conduct the RAS Mains exam on the pre-determined schedule on June 25 and June 26. The RAS prelims 2018 exam was conducted on August 5 at 1454 centers in Rajasthan. More than 3 Lakh candidates had appeared in the exam for 1017 Vacancies.
The result was announced on October 23, but the single bench of the high court directed RPSC to remove the question number 11 and 22 from the RAS prelims. The court asked RPSC to release the revised merit list (RAS exam results) after removing the marks for these questions.
The single bench’s order came on a petition that stated that the question number 11 was wrong while the question number 22 had two correct answers.
After seeking legal opinion on the matter, RSPC decided to file an appeal against the single bench’s order. The commission is making preparations for the Mains exam.
