Jaipur: Even four days after violent clashes killed two men and left several others injured in Jaipur’s Ramganj area, the police and administration in Jaipur are reluctant to lift curfew completely. It will, however, be relaxed for 13 hours on Wednesday.
According to reports, curfew will be relaxed from 6 am to 7 pm on Wednesday. Schools which had been closed for the past four days can be opened on Wednesday. People will also be able to buy grocery and necessary things from the market.
Curfew was relaxed for six hours on Tuesday.
“As no untoward incident was reported, we have decided to increase the duration of relaxation to 13 hours. We are still assessing the situation so it is not being completely lifted,” said a police officer.
Police carried out searches at many places in the violence-hit areas and said that they were keeping a tab on known criminals and anti-social elements.
Heavy police force has been deployed in the area.
No decision with regard to internet ban was taken till Tuesday evening.
The ban on internet services will continue till midnight. The police are yet to decide whether to lift the ban after the midnight or continue with it.
