"Sambhar Festival 2025" celebrating Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage kicked off on Friday with a grand opening.

Jaipur: The much-awaited “Sambhar Festival 2025” celebrating Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage kicked off on Friday with a grand opening.

The inaugural day featured a mix of adventure activities, folk performances, and a celebration of tradition. Former MLA of Phulera, Nirmal Kumawat, and Additional Director of Tourism, Rakesh Sharma, formally launched the event by releasing balloons. In the evening, a grand Deepotsav and Maha Aarti were organized at the Devyani Teerth Sarovar, adding a spiritual touch to the festivities.

Deputy Chief Minister Diya Kumari highlighted the festival as a unique initiative to showcase Rajasthan’s art, culture, and natural beauty on a global platform. She expressed optimism about the festival becoming a prominent international attraction in the near future.

Tourism Deputy Director Upendra Singh Shekhawat shared that the festival, running until January 28, will offer visitors a blend of cultural, religious, and adventurous experiences. Sambhar’s famous Salt Lake is gaining popularity for pre-wedding shoots and astro-tourism, further adding to its allure.

Key attractions during the festival include events at Jhapoak, Sambhar Salt Campus, Devyani Teerth Sarovar, and Mela Ground, promising unforgettable moments for both tourists and locals.
