Rajasthan University (RU) starts admission for five-year Law College; Last date September 13

Jaipur: Rajasthan University has started the admission process for five-year BA- LLB degree in law colleges.

RU will conduct the law entrance exam. The last date to apply for admission in RU law colleges is September 13. The forms will be accepted from August 24 to September 13. The Rajasthan University Law Entrance Test (RULET) will be held on September 23.

The students will be able to download the application form online at the university’s official website www.uniraj.ac.in\rulet2018

The students will have to submit a DD of Rs 2000 with the admission form and hard copies of the documents in the law department of the university from 8 am to 1 pm by September 13. No forms will be entertained after 4:00 pm on September 13.  Counseling dates will be announced later by the university.

The Entrance exam will be of 200 marks for which the sample question papers are available online on the Rajasthan university’s website. The exam paper will comprise of questions on language ability, legal reasoning, general knowledge, general science and social studies.

Bar Council of India (BCI) had banned the admission process earlier due to the lack of faculties for law colleges but now the ban has been removed and the students can take admissions in the five-year integrated law program in colleges of Rajasthan university.

This has come as great news for students who were waiting for the admission process to begin. Many students had lost the hope for admission in RU law colleges due to the BCI ban. Several students took admissions in other colleges too. This can lead to a smaller number of enrolments this time as RU has started the admission process after much delay.
