Rajasthan University Law College assistant professor commits suicide

The woman attempted suicide on November 4, but her family members rushed her to a hospital. She died while undergoing treatment on Thursday, according to police officials.

Jaipur: An assistant professor of Rajasthan University (RU) Law College, identified as Lakshita committed suicide at her house in Sodala area. She attempted suicide on November 4, but her family members rushed her to a hospital. She died while undergoing treatment on Thursday, according to police officials.

Lakshita lived in Nandpuri area of Sodala. She was an assistant professor on contractual basis at Law College.

It has come up during preliminary investigation that she was depressed over something.

She hanged herself on November 4. She was rushed to a hospital where she was undergoing treatment since November 4. Sources said that she died while undergoing treatment.

The police didn’t recover any suicide note. Officials said that an investigation has been launched to ascertain what caused her to take the extreme step.

“We didn’t recover a suicide note. We are investigating the matter,” said a police officer.
