Jaipur: Rajasthan University will award gold medals to all the semester system toppers from 1992 until now. From 1992 to 2016 there are about 610 semester toppers who will be awarded these medals in a convocation ceremony.
Examination controller Mr. BL Gupta stated that the list of these meritorious students has been finalized. This list will be published on the University website. A procedure to order medals by inviting tenders will be soon initiated and the medals are expected to be ready in the month of November.
Rajasthan University’s 2.5 lakh degree certificates are in the process of getting printed. These are being printed outside the state by a private firm. Certificates of each semester will soon be handed over to the administrative department. In the past due to mistakes in the degree certificates, these had to be reprinted hence the university is being cautious this time and wants to ensure that this doesn’t get repeated. It has published details on the website so that students and college principals can view this and give feedback if any. The respective centers are likely to receive the copies by October 20.
Meanwhile, the post of Additional Registrar is likely to be occupied soon. RU has received 51 applications for this post out of which 3 are internal staff. These applicants are Public Relations Officer Dr Bhupendra Singh Shekhawat, Deputy Registrar MC Gupta, and VC’s personal secretary P Kumawat. RU will soon get an Additional Registrar after 20 years.
