Jaipur: In a huge relief to candidates who appear in competitive exams, the Rajasthan government is planning to launch a one-time registration portal for document verification.

This will make applying for competitive exams easier as the candidates will no longer have to get documents verified each time they submit an application.

The students will need to upload their details and documents to this portal once and use the same registration for document verification when applying for government jobs.

Their verification process will be automated through Digi Locker. The Department of Information and Technology has prepared a complete mechanism for this. It will be launched soon.

According to an estimate, about 35 lakh students in Rajasthan apply for different competitive examinations conducted by RPSC, Rajasthan Staff Selection Board and other bodies. The students have to verify their documents each time they submit an application.

The candidates end up making errors and the process to get them rectified is long and tedious. The candidates even have to pay a fee to re-submit the examination form.

The new system will eradicate this problem as the examination form will not be submitted if any details on it don’t match with the details submitted through the one-time registration portal. The portal will pull up details automatically.

The candidates will have to link their Jan Aadhar or Aadhar Number with the portal and also provide educational qualification details.
