Jaipur: The Rajasthan Technical University (RTU) on Monday announced an increase of 10% in the examination fee for under-graduate and post-graduate courses. It will increase the financial burden on the PG and UG students in the state.

Some decisions were also taken to promote research work. The fellowship for the students doing PHD full time at the college affiliated with RTU was increased to Rs 13,000 per month from Rs 8,000.
The committee also allocated a budget of Rs 45 crore to provide benefits of seventh pay commission to the university employees. A skill development center will also be created with a budget of nearly Rs 1 crore.
