Rajasthan opens online applications for Trade Promotion Policy 2025 with loans up to Rs 2 crore for small traders

Jaipur: The Rajasthan government has opened online applications under the Rajasthan Trade Promotion Policy 2025, offering small and medium traders loans of up to Rs 2 crore along with interest relief of up to 6 per cent. Traders can apply through their SSO ID or an e-Mitra kiosk.

Under the policy, retail traders will be eligible for loans of up to Rs 2 crore, with the state bearing a portion of the interest burden and up to 50 per cent of the insurance premium. The government expects more than 10.5 lakh retail stores and traders across the state to benefit from the scheme.

Industry and Commerce Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Rathore said the policy was a new initiative for the state’s trade sector, aimed at giving small traders access to larger markets, e-commerce platforms and logistics networks. He said the measures would also draw fresh investment and create new employment opportunities.

On the loan component, traders starting a new small business will get interest relief of up to 6 per cent on loans of up to Rs 1 crore, and up to 4 per cent relief on loans in the Rs 1 crore to Rs 2 crore bracket. Women, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and differently-abled traders will receive an additional 1 per cent interest relief.

The state will also reimburse up to 50 per cent of the guarantee fee under the Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) scheme on loans of up to Rs 5 crore, for a period of five years. Small traders will get 50 per cent support on insurance premium for five years, capped at Rs 1 lakh a year.

To push traders onto online marketplaces, the government will cover 75 per cent of e-commerce platform fees for one year, up to a maximum of Rs 50,000, so that small retailers can extend their reach online.
