Rajasthan: NWR launches 7 new trains for festive season; tickets 20% costlier
Northwestern Railways (NWR) have introduced seven special trains on different routes for the ongoing festive season Rajasthan. The ticket price of these trains is around 20-22% more than the usual ticket rates for trains on these routes.

Jaipur: Northwestern Railways (NWR) have introduced seven special trains on different routes for the ongoing festive season Rajasthan. The ticket price of these trains is around 20-22% more than the usual ticket rates for trains on these routes.
According to the railway officials, a large number of people travel during the festive season. Passengers suffer to get the reserved tickets in the usual trains.
The railway administration has decided to introduce special trains on these routes. The tickets prices of these special trains will be slightly higher.
North Western Railways added 40 extra coaches to 36 trains for the passengers. The decision was taken, keeping in mind, the hike in the number of passengers during the festive season.
Special trains are receiving a large number of bookings.
As per officials, a special train was started a few days ago and the booking reached the waiting of 125 within 24 hours of the launch.
NWR spokesperson Tarun Jain said the charges for special trains remain high during the festive season every time. This is an additional facility for passengers in an emergency. “We receive a large number of bookings for these special trains as the booking in usual trains gets filled at a rapid pace,” he said.

- From Bikaner-Haridwar started
- Ajmer-Bandra terminus from October 14
- Jaipur-Bandra Terminus from October 17
- Jaipur-Delhi Kent started
- Jaipur –Shaalimaar from October 17
- Jaipur-Hyderabad
- Delhi-Indore
