Rajasthan: Man shot dead in Nagaur’s Kuchaman, Rs 2 lakh robbed
The getaway car of the robbers overturned, so they ditched it and fled on foot.

Jaipur: A trader from Sikar district, identified as Mohammed Majid was shot dead by unidentified robbers in Nagaur’s Kuchaman area on Friday.
The robbers were in a Bolero. They snatched away a bag containing Rs 2 lakh and fled the spot, according to the preliminary reports. Barricades were put up throughout the district to catch the robbers. The police later managed to catch three robbers with help of local villagers, while two others managed to escape.
The incident took place on Kotputali – Ranasar highway near Kakredi. Majid who belongs to Sikar district was carrying a bag containing the money.
A Bolero intercepted him and people sitting in it opened fire.
He died on the spot. They took away his bag and fled.
According to preliminary reports, their getaway car overturned, so they ditched it and fled on foot.
A police team immediately rushed to the spot and took Majid to a hospital where he was declared brought dead by the doctors.
A massive hunt was launched for the robbers. The police put the local residents on alert about the robbers. With their help, three robbers were caught.
The police have put up barricades in the area and several teams were formed to catch the two absconding criminals.
