Jaipur: The Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) is set to develop a large-scale residential scheme in Siroli village, located in Sanganer tehsil. The long-pending project will span 329.17 hectares.

Vaibhav Galriya, Principal Secretary of the Urban Development Department and Chairman of the Housing Board, confirmed that the state government has approved the necessary land use changes to allow the project to proceed. He said the move reflects the government’s push to make affordable housing accessible to all.

The housing board had originally notified the acquisition of this land back in September 2011. However, progress was stalled as only 51.71 hectares had been earmarked for residential use under the Jaipur Master Development Plan 2025. The remaining 277.40 hectares were classified under public and semi-public categories—including recreational, ecological, and water body zones.

That bottleneck was cleared after the state government sanctioned a land use conversion under Section 25(4) of the Jaipur Development Authority Act, 1982. The revised plan now designates the majority of the land for residential development, while continuing to safeguard ecological and water-rich zones in line with planning norms.
