Rajasthan High Court tops in PDRS; e-filling of petition soon

The administration is planning to start e-filling of petition services through the website and android application. The decision has been taken to ensure easy and paperless legal work in the state. The services will start probably within a month, said, officials.

Jaipur: Rajasthan High Court has set a new record in the country under eCourts project, an initiative of the Union Law Ministry, Department of Justice and the E-Committee of the Supreme Court of India.

It has become the first ever high court of the country to use Parallel Data Replication Script (PDRS) effectively through its official website.

According to the officials, Rajasthan HC’s website was updated under the eCourt project some nine months ago on June 25, 2018.  At least 10,000 people have already downloaded the android application of RHC in their phones.

The official website of RHC that is http://hcraj.nic.in/hcraj/ gets traffic of over 40,000 visitors daily. Also, over 1.25 crore visitors have surfed the website since its inception on July 1, 2018.

Users can search among 23 lakh cases registered under HC and SC in few seconds on the website.

As per IT officials, the high court updated the website with 62 new high configuration servers to balance the traffic. The National Informatics Centre (NIC) added features including CAPTCHA and others to prevent the site from being crashed.

The website will be further updated with improved security features, added officials.

Mobile application – eCourts services – under the same project recently bagged the Digital India Platinum Award for the best mobile app.
