Rajasthan Heritage Week (RHW) 2018 to be held at Diggi Place in October

Diggi Palace will play host to this grand event in which various designers, models, celebrities and weavers across the globe will showcase their extraordinary designs and creations in the show on the theme “ Handmade in Rajasthan”

Rajasthan Heritage Week 2018

Jaipur: Rajasthan is getting ready to organize the third edition of much awaited Rajasthan Heritage Week (RHW) 2018 at Diggi Palace in Jaipur this winter from October 25-28. Preparations are being made to make this event a huge success. Various photo shoots have been planned in September at different heritage sites of Jaipur with Khadi – Wear theme.

Director of the show, Prasad Bidapa, said that the Bangalore shoots have already started and in September they will shoot at all heritage sites in Jaipur.

Diggi Palace will play host to this grand event in which various designers, models, celebrities and weavers from across the globe, particularly Rajasthan, will showcase their extraordinary designs and creations.

Many activities in different cities have been planned for the promotion of the event in which designers will connect with the media and speak about their designs and creations.

Rajasthan Heritage Week 2018 will host 20 designers and 15 weavers from around the world who will showcase their creativity on the ramp with handmade creations based on ‘Handmade in Rajasthan’ theme.

Designers from Rajasthan including Rajesh Pratap, Payal Pratap, Reena Singh, Suket Dheer, Gaurav Jai Gupta, Jyoti Sachdeva Iyer and Jaipur-based designers such as Rohit Kamra, Swati Vijavargiya and Trupti Bhargava will showcase their creative and new designs. Also, winter collection with Khadi silk’s bridal range will be presented.

Designer Rajesh Pratap will showcase Block printing and indigo blue on Rajasthan Khadi with a combination of monsoon trends.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje has started the Handmade in Rajasthan project to popularize locally woven Khadi and Kota Doria amongst designers all over India and the World.
