Jaipur: Rajasthan High Court on Tuesday cancelled the result of the RAS prelim 2021 exam. Due to the HC order, the RAS Mains exam that was scheduled to be held on February 25 and 26 will get automatically cancelled. The court order came on five controversial questions asked in the prelim examination. The court has ordered to form a committee to decide on these questions and release an answer key after receiving the committee report.

The bench of Justice Mahendra Goel issued the order on the petition filed by one Ankit Sharma and others. Advocate Rampratap Saini argued before the court on behalf of the petitioner. The High Court upheld option one of question number 62 as correct.

Advocate Rampratap Saini told media persons that the court has ordered to issue a fresh answer key. On behalf of the petitioners, Saini argued that some questions were disputed. The answers to these questions are incorrect as per the RPSC. The court said that the expert committee will decide on these five questions. The answer to one of the questions has already been accepted by the Court as correct.

The RAS prelim exam was conducted on October 27 last year. The result came out on November 19. The candidates were demanding that the RAS mains exam be postponed as they were not satisfied with the result of the prelim exam.

Many BJP leaders and other politicians came out in support of the RAS candidates. On Monday, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had refused to postpone the exam and said that it would be conducted as per the recruitment calendar.
