Rajasthan: Haj pilgrimage 2020 application process goes online

Jaipur: Planning to go on Haj pilgrimage in 2020. Well, you need to hurry up and apply online by November 10. The Haj committee has decided not to accept offline applications this year. The entire process will be conducted online, according to Rajasthan Haj Committee officials. The committee has already received over 3,000 applications from Rajasthan.

The Haj pilgrimage 2019 completed recently. The committee has immediately started the process for the Haj Pilgrimage in 2020. Haj pilgrims can register their applications online on www.hajcommittee.gov.in

“We will accept and process applications for the next year’s pilgrimage online only. We have decided to discontinue offline application process in which applicants could fill up forms and physically deliver it. The last date for applying for Haj pilgrimage 2010 is November 10 ,” said a Rajasthan Haj Committee official.

There has been a decline in the number of Haj applicants over the past couple of years. In 2017, the committee had received nearly 16,500 applications in 2017. In 2019, the number of applications came down to 10,000. The rising cost and the complex application process are being blamed for the decline in applications.

Last year, the Central Haj Committee started the online registration for ‘Haj Pilgrimage Yatra 2019’ from October 10. Nearly 6000 people from Rajasthan went on Haj pilgrimage this year.
