Jaipur: To provide financial relief and boost revenue recovery, the Rajasthan government has announced a 100% interest waiver on all pending lease dues—provided the outstanding principal is paid in one go by September 30, 2025.
The waiver applies to all lease dues pending as of March 31, 2024, and covers properties falling under urban local bodies, urban improvement trusts (UITs), the Rajasthan Housing Board, and all development authorities across the state.
Officials said the decision was made under the provisions of Section 74 of the Rajasthan Urban Improvement Act, 1958; Rule 7A of the Urban Land Allotment Rules, 1974; and Section 60 of the Rajasthan Housing Board Act, 1970. However, the order comes with a clear caveat: the interest waiver will not apply to cases that have already been settled, nor will there be any refunds for interest paid in the past.
