Jaipur: The farmers who pay their dues on time can now enjoy a 6.70 percent interest rate on the loans they take.

Loans at 6.75 percent interest rate are available from September 15. This announcement was made by the cabinet ministers taking part in a workshop organized by BJP’s wing for farmers called BJP Kisan Morcha.

BJP Kisan Morcha organized a one-day workshop of Kisan Chowpal in Jaipur. Co-operation minister Ajay Singh Kilak conveyed this news to the media. He was accompanied by Agriculture minister Prabhu Lal Saini. Kilak announced that as discussed with Rajasthan Rajya Sahakari Bhoomi Vikas Bank Ltd, the interest rate has been decided to be reduced by 0.40 percent. Hence the reduction from 7.10 percent to 6.70 percent is surely going to be beneficial to the farmers.  This will be applicable from September 15.

Saini gave detailed information about the schemes of the farmers of the state government and said that the information of government schemes will be carried out in the farmers’ village of Chowpal from 20th to 25th of September. The farmers were also informed about the various beneficiary schemes launched by the state government including the loan facilities, crop storage facilities, weather-based crop insurance scheme, modified national agricultural insurance scheme, and soil testing.
