The city bagged the distinction in a survey conducted by travel magazine – Travel and Leisure.

The fact that Udaipur beat many other more populated and cosmopolitan cities such as Delhi and Mumbai may come as a surprise to many, but those who have visited the City of Lakes can definitely vouch for its beauty. The city is small, but it is a well-developed urban destination. Tourists from all over the world come here to enjoy the quiet time on the banks of its beautiful lakes.
