Rajasthan ATS arrests IAS officer’s brother Kumar Jyoti in fake gun license case
ATS had busted a gang involved in preparing bogus gun licenses in various parts of the country including Jammu, Rajasthan and Nagaland. Many members of this gang were arrested. Since the racket is spread all over the country, the investigation is still continuing.

Jaipur: Rajasthan anti-terrorist squad (ATS) on Tuesday arrested a man, identified as Kumar Jyoti was arrested in connection with illegal gun license case. Kumar Jyoti, a resident of Gurugram in Haryana, is the brother of an IAS officer posted in Jammu. The ATS officials said the role of administrative officers in Jammu have also come under scanner following the arrest. The officials didn’t disclose the identity of the accused man.

“We have arrested Kumar Jyoti in this connection. He used pay these gangs to make fake gun licenses. We produced him in a court that sent him to one day police custody. Interrogation with him is going on,” said a senior ATS officer.
Kumar Jyoti was in touch with the masterminds of the gangs – Juber and Rahul Grover. Juber was earlier arrested from Ajmer. The two accused used to make bogus gun licenses in the name of BSF jawans. It has come up during preliminary investigation that Rahul deposited deposit lakhs of rupees in the bank accounts linked to Kumar Jyoti.
A total 51 people have been arrested in the case. Fourteen teams of ATS had carried out searches in four states including Jammu and Kashmir in October, 2017 and arrested four men including Juber. ATS has recommended a CBI probe, but the matter is pending with the state government.
