Jaipur: An army jawan from Nagaur district of Rajasthan named his newborn as ‘Mirage Singh Rathore’ to celebrate the aerial strike carried out in Pok in the aftermath of Pulwama attacks. The baby boy was born when the air strike was being carried out by IAF on Tuesday.
Mahaveer Singh, father of the newborn boy, is the resident of Dabra village of Nagaur district. His wife delivered the baby at 3:50 am on Tuesday when the IAF conducted aerial strikes across LoC.
Rejoiced by the news, Mahaveer Singh named his newborn as ‘Mirage Singh Rathore’ because he was born just after the air strike operation by IAF.
According to Mahaveer Singh, his father was also in the Indian army and he also served for the nation. He wants his newborn son ‘Mirage’ to join the army.
“My child was born at such crucial time when India was avenging the deaths of CRPF soldiers who were killed in the Pulwama attacks. I decided to name my child after the fighter jet Mirage, which destroyed the terrorist camps in Pakistan,” said Mahaveer.
The fighter jet of Dassault aviation, Mirage-2000 gained popularity and appreciation after it was used in the aerial strike by IAF on Tuesday. Major launch pads of Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) – the terrorist group behind Pulwama attacks- were destroyed in the air strike.
As many as 12 Air Force Mirage jets dropped 1000 kg bombs on terror camps across the Line of Control (LoC). The targets were terror camps and launch pads of Jaish-e-Mohammad among other terrorist groups in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
