Rajasthan: 2 arrested for selling strategic info to Pak ISI agent

Jaipur: The intelligence bureau of Rajasthan police on Monday arrested two men, identified as Vikas Tilotia and Chimanlal Nayak for selling strategic info about the Indo-Pak border and weaponry used by the Indian army to a Pakistan agent. While Vikas works as a civil defence employee in Ganganagar FAD, Chimanlal worked as a contractual employee in Bikaner firing range. Both were arrested and booked under relevant sections of The Official Secrets Act 1923.
ADG Intelligence Umesh Mishra said that both were put under surveillance after it came up that they were using social media to pass on strategically important information to a Pakistan-based agent. Vikas is a resident of Mandawa in Jhunjhunu, Chimanlal belongs to Ajitnama in Bikaner.
The intelligence bureau took them into custody and interrogated them. It came up that the duo had allegedly been paid by the agent. The bank account statements proved this following which both were arrested. A relative has also been taken into custody and interrogation with him is going on.
The intelligence bureau informed the Military Intelligence, Lucknow about this. Both will be produced in a court soon.
Some mobile phones and SIM cards have been recovered and the bureau is trying to find out what information was passed on to Pakistan by the accused men. Further investigation is going on.
