Raj police to announce cash reward of Rs 1 lakh on Vikram Gujjar alias Papla

Police teams searching vehicles in Jaipur after escape of Vikram Gujjar alias Papla from Behror police station.

Jaipur: The Rajasthan police has announced a cash reward of Rs 50,000 for any information leading to the arrest of six criminals involved in the escape of hardcore criminal Vikram Singh Gujjar alias Papla from Behror police station. While the known criminal is yet to be arrested, police officials said that at least six of the criminals who stromed into the police station and helped Papla Gujjar escape have been identified. The police released their photographs. All of them are known criminals with previous history of police cases.

All the six criminals who were identified as aides of Vikram Gujjar are residents of Haryana. After the identification of these men, the SOG teams have launched fresh efforts to nab them. Even almost a week after Papla escaped from police custody with the help of over 15 men, the police are yet to trace his location.

Sources said that the police headquarters are considering announce a reward of Rs 1 lakh for information leading to Papla’s arrest.

Meanwhile Haryana police is also helping Rajasthan police in tracing the criminals. Many members of Papla’s gang have been rounded up for questioning.

A group of about 15 criminals stormed into Behror police station in three vehicles around 8.30 am on Friday. They were armed with AK-47 guns. They started firing inside the police station indiscriminately. There were 11 policemen including SHO Sugan Singh in the police station at that time. Sugan Singh fired at the criminals, but his gun got jammed. The criminals left with Papla.
