Jaipur: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will address a public rally against CAA (Citizenship Amendment Act) at Albert Hall in Jaipur on Tuesday. He is likely to lash out at the central government on many other issues such as rising employment, inflation and unemployment. The focus of his address would be youths, sources in the Pradesh Congress Committee said.

PCC president Sachin Pilot and state in-charge Avinash Pandey visited Albert Hall on Monday and took stock of the preparations for Gandhi’s rally. The Congress has formed several committees and entrusted them with different responsibilities to ensure that the rally is a big success.

The police and traffic department have also made elaborate arrangements since the rally is taking place in the heart of the city. The traffic department officials said that special traffic arrangements have been made to ensure that regular commuters don’t face difficulties due to the rally.

A senior Congress leader said that the wrong policies of the central government have slowed down the economy of the country and created many problems for the traders community. A growing number of unemployed youths are a testimony to it.

“Gandhi will highlight the plights of the youth in particular as the unemployment rate has broken a record. When the government came to power, it promised to generate 2 crore jobs, but the reality is that hundreds of thousands of youths are losing employment that they already had, all because of the wrong economic policies of the government,” said the Congress leader.
