JAIPUR: The courses being run by global IT companies at Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Advanced Technology (R-CAT) in Jaipur are already so popular that the batches were full even before Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot inaugurated the centre at DigiFest 2022.
According to Jyoti Luhadia, Additional Director, DIT, five companies have started one batch each. A total of 125 students were selected for these batches. The centre received 600 applications. The new batches will start next month.
R-CAT Jaipur Admission criteria
The admission is based on the educational qualification of the candidate and also a quiz. Different types of courses require different educational qualifications. Those having BSC-Mathematics, Statistics, BCA/MCA/BSCIT/ BTech/ any PG in these streams can apply for admission.

How to apply for admission/registration online
To enrol in a course R-CAT, Jaipur, one can fill out the application online as well as offline. Click on this link to fill out the application offline. Here is the step-by-step process to apply for RCAT Jaipur admission/registration online.
- Step: 1: Visit the official R-CAT website
You first need to visit https://rcat.rajasthan.gov.in/ and click on the login/registration login button on the top right. Once you click on the button, you will be redirected to your SSO ID. If you haven’t already created your SSO credentials, you will need to create one to apply online for the R-CAT registration process.
- Step 2: Validate with Jan Aadhaar
You will be asked to validate with your Jan Aadhaar. Once you are done with the validation process, you will be redirected to a form where you will need to fill out the required details. You will also need to confirm which course you want to enroll in. The course duration ranges from 4 days to 60 days as of August 2022. More courses will be added in the future. You will receive a confirmation of registration to your registered email address and mobile number through SMS.
- Step 3: Apply for Quiz-A-Thon
You will need to apply for a quiz called Quiz-A-Thon. If you are selected, a notification will be sent to you via email and SMS. You can then start your training.
