Professor Gulab Singh appointed JNVU vice-chancellor

The Election Commission is likely to announce Rajasthan assembly elections 2018 dates and enforce model code of conduct. In this case, Gulab Singh is likely to take the oath of office in a short while.

Jaipur: Rajasthan governor Kalyan Singh has appointed Prof Gulab Singh as the new vice chancellor of Jai Narayan Vyas University (JNVU) in Jodhpur.

The Election Commission is likely to announce Rajasthan assembly elections 2018 dates and enforce model code of conduct. In this case, Gulab Singh is likely to take the oath of office in a short while.

As per reports, Election Commission will hold a press conference in New Delhi at 3 pm to announce the dates for assembly elections in five states including Rajasthan. With the announcement, the model code of conduct will come into force.

The newly appointed JNVU vice-chancellor may join the office before the EC holds the press conference.

Student union elections had recently been held in JNVU. In a close fight NSUI candidate Sunil Choudhary defeated ABVP candidate Mool Singh by a margin of just nine votes
