Jaipur: The investigation into the nomination of NSUI candidate Vinod Jakhar who won the Rajasthan University student union election 2018 for the president post couldn’t be completed, hampering the functioning of the newly elected student union.

The probe report was to be submitted on Wednesday, but it wasn’t. As a result, the issue will remain pending till November 12. The university administration has declared Diwali holiday till then.

The ABVP candidate for president post Rajpal Choudhary had complained about Jakhar’s nomination on October 1. In the complaint he said that Vinod had admitted being convicted by a court in the nomination form.

ABVP had demanded that Jakhar’s nomination be rejected. The vice chancellor ordered a probe into the matter. The probe report is yet to come in the matter.

As a result, the university administration would not be able to release the student union budget. It will hamper inauguration of the student union office and other student welfare-related works.

There are only six months remaining in the tenure of the student union.

Vinod Jakhar had defeated Rajpal Choudhary in the 2018 Rajasthan University student union elections.
