Jaipur — The Poornima Group on Saturday honored its faculty and staff at its annual felicitation ceremony, distributing incentives worth Rs 2.22 crore in recognition of their contributions to the institution’s growth.
The amount marks a nearly 39 percent increase from last year’s Rs 1.60 crore, with Poornima University recording the largest jump at 54 percent. Organizers also noted that this year, the number of faculty members recognized in categories such as research and academic performance doubled compared with last year — a trend the group said reflects steadily improving educational standards.
Navneet Mathur, director of Hornbille Machines and Rental Private Limited, served as chief guest. Addressing the gathering, he underscored the importance of every member in an educational institution and urged faculty to help students discover their potential.
Faculty and staff received awards under 17 different schemes covering excellence in teaching, research, and service. The largest share — Rs 81 lakh — went to CS and IT bonuses. Technical publication incentives accounted for Rs 46 lakh, canteen incentives Rs 35 lakh, and academic performance incentives Rs 26 lakh. Officials said the increase of Rs 62 lakh over last year highlighted the group’s focus on technology, research, and staff development.
In addition, 14 faculty and staff members who have served the institution for more than 15 years were specially recognized for their long-term contributions. Other incentive categories included patents and copyrights, joining professional and technical organizations, and various academic achievements.
The Poornima Group said the annual felicitation ceremony is designed to encourage faculty and staff to continue striving for excellence in education, research, and student development.
