Poornima College of Engineering students engage in tech dialogue with Prof. Ashutosh Sharma

JAIPUR: To fulfill Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi’s vision and the Ministry of Education’s initiative, the Government of India and AICTE are hosting seminars nationwide.
These discussions focus on the transformative changes contributing to a developed India by 2047. As part of this series, Poornima College of Engineering in Jaipur held a Development Dialogue. The topic was “Working the New ‘Normal’: Opportunities and Transformation.”
The event featured Prof. Ashutosh Sharma, President of the Indian National Science Academy and former Secretary of the Government of India, as the chief guest.
Other notable attendees included Dr. Mahesh M Bundele, Director and Principal of PCE, Dr. Pankaj Dhemla, Vice Principal of PCE, and Dr. Rekha Nair, the event coordinator.
The program began with the traditional lighting of the lamp and felicitation of Prof. Sharma by Dr. Bundele.
Prof. Sharma then delivered a Development Dialogue on “Science, Technology, and Innovation in the New Millennium: A Brave New World.” The session allowed for a lively exchange of ideas between the speaker and the students.
Topics discussed included the impact of digitization on organizations, skill enhancement, the importance of listening and patience, and broadening knowledge through problem-solving, academics, and internships.
A question-and-answer session followed, with students eagerly participating. They asked insightful questions about artificial intelligence and adapting to rapidly evolving technology. Prof. Sharma’s answers connected these topics to their academic studies, deepening their understanding.
The session concluded with Prof. Sharma imparting some key lessons to the students. Dr. Pankaj Dhemla, Vice Principal of PCE, offered a vote of thanks to close the event.
