Poornima College of Engineering in Jaipur granted autonomous status.

Jaipur: Poornima College of Engineering (PCE) Jaipur has been granted autonomous status by the University Grants Commission (UGC). This status, valid for the next 10 years, has become effective from the current academic session, which will have many benefits in terms of academic quality. RTU Vice Chancellor Prof. S.K. Singh issued a letter of intent for autonomous status to the college representatives.

The college was recently also given A+ grade by NAAC. These two achievements in the 25th year of the establishment of the college make Poornima College one of the top colleges at the national level, Dr. Mahesh Bundele, Principal and Director of Poornima College of Engineering, said.

He added that after getting autonomous status, the college will start courses at its own level. The main focus will be on designing new employment-oriented UG and PG courses and syllabus while focusing on the skills required for the current industry. With this status, the college will be able to get funding from UGC, which will be used to further improve the academic excellence of the institute. Now the college will also be able to conduct examinations at its own level.

It is worth mentioning that in the Quality Index Value (QIV) of colleges affiliated to RTU, Poornima College of Engineering has been ranked second in the state for the last seven years. This QIV is given on the basis of placements, NAAC and NBA accreditation, faculty qualification, paper publications, faculty-student ratio, in-time degree, infrastructure of these colleges and results of students and activities for their development.
