Jaipur: Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot on Tuesday criticized Jyotiraditya Scindia’s decision to resign from the Congress’s primary membership and accused him of betraying the trust of the people as well as the ideology. Gehlot who is considered very close to Gandhi family said that people like Scindia can’t thrive without power so that ‘the sooner they leave the better’.
Mr Scindia has betrayed the trust of the people as well as the ideology. Such people proves they can’t thrive without power. Sooner they leave the better.

Jyotiraditya Scindia, a senior Congress leader in Madhya Pradesh – met Prime Minister Narendra Modi today in Delhi on Tuesday and resigned from his party. There are reports that he would join the BJP.

Reacting to the development, Gehlot tweeted that joining hands with BJP in a time of national crisis speaks volumes about a leader’s self-indulgent political ambitions. Especially when the BJP ruining the economy, democratic institutions, social fabric and as well the Judiciary.
Gehlot posted two tweets after Scindia was expelled from the party on Tuesday. The Congress sad that Scindia was expelled following anti-party activities.
