Paryatan Parv 2018: ‘Run for Tourism’ in Jaipur tomorrow

The ‘Run for Paryatan’ will start from Birla Temple in Jaipur at 6:30 am on Sunday and conclude at Albert Hall. Several runners, students, volunteers and general public will take part in the run.

Jaipur: The ministry of tourism is organizing ‘Run for Paryatan’ on Sunday to promote tourism in Jaipur. The event will be conducted in the city from 6:30 am as part of the second edition of ‘Paryatan Parv’. The Paryatan Parv will be conducted from September 16 to September 27 across the nation to promote tourism.

The 12-day long event is being organized by the tourism ministry in collaboration with central ministries, state governments and stakeholders.

The ‘Run for Paryatan’ will start from Birla Temple in Jaipur at 6:30 am on Sunday and conclude at Albert Hall. Several runners, students, volunteers and general public will take part in the run.

According to tourism secretary Rashmi Verma, the programme will be inaugurated by Home Minister Rajnath Singh on September 16 at Rajpath lawns in Delhi.

Around 32 states and Union territories, along with different departments of the government, are collaborating with the ministry to organize 3,150 activities across India as part of the programme, added Verma.

The event will be based on three main components – ‘Dekho Apna Desh’ – encouraging domestic tourists to travel within India, ‘Tourism for All’ – promoting tourism across social classes, and ‘Tourism and Governance’ – interactive sessions with stakeholders.

The main focus of the event will be to promote tourism among domestic travelers. There are undiscovered tourism places. The programme will emphasize on the cultural diversity of the nation in several ways. It will aware people about the benefits of tourism.
