Jaipur: A parking attendant has been arrested from the Nasirabad Army Camp in Rajasthan on charges of spying for Pakistan’s intelligence agency ISI. The accused, identified as Mohammed Yunus, has been charged with sharing sensitive info about the army camp with Pakistan. The intelligence bureau brought him to Jaipur after some financial transactions triggered the suspicion. Yunus was paid for sharing the info through WhatsApp using a bogus sim card.
Yunus is a resident of Kishangarh in Ajmer district. He worked as an attendant at a parking space near Kishangarh bus station. The IB has launched an investigation to ascertain what information he shared with Pakistan and how much money he had received from his handlers.
The IB has confiscated his mobile phone and laptop. During preliminary investigation, it has come up that he shared the movement of the army in Nasirabad army camp. He shot videos and clicked photographs of sensitive places and shared them with his handlers in Pakistan through WhatsApp. Yunus received the money in his bank account from Pakistan. The accused has no prior criminal record, so the IB is trying to find out how he came in contact with the Pak spy agency and whether others are involved in this network.
