Jaipur: The SOG on Sunday arrested one Sushil Sharma – the owner of Pali-based coaching centre Aakash Classes – for duping many candidates in the name of helping them cheat in the army recruitment exam. Sushil was taking Rs 3-5 lakh from each student. He was allegedly caught red-handed when he was taking Rs 15,000 from a student. The SOG officials don’t rule out the possibility of more arrests in the matter.

Sushil is a resident of Abhishek Nagar in Beawar of Ajmer and runs coaching centres in Pali and Sojat. The SOG got a tip-off that he was duping candidates following which a trap was laid. He was arrested when he was allegedly accepting an advance payment of Rs 15,000 from a candidate. The army recruitment exams started on Sunday.

The SOG teams have recovered admission cards of candidates, stamp papers, blank cheques and registers. The agency has found the names of many candidates in the register and suspect that the gang had promised these students placement in the army by helping them cheat in the exam.

The SOG teams are carrying out searches and studying the call details of the accused man’s mobile phone to identity other members of this gang.
