Over 40,000 tourists visit Jaipur on Christmas

The Walled City markets were flooded with local and foreign tourists throughout the day. Many events and parties were organized in the city.

Jaipur: More than 40,000 tourists visited various markets and tourist destinations in Jaipur on the occasion of Christmas on Tuesday. The Walled City markets were flooded with local and foreign tourists throughout the day. Many events and parties were organized in the city.

Children were seen in Santa Claus attire, churches were lit up with festivities, jaipurites and tourists were seen donning Santa caps on Tuesday.

All tourist destinations including Amer, Jantar Mantar, Nahargarh, Albert Hall, City Palace, and Hawa Mahal experienced a large number of visitors. The ticket counters were crowded as the tourists queued up since the morning. The churches in the city were lit up with lights.

Traffic jams in the Walled City at various places including Jaleb Chowk, Tripolia Gate, Chaura Rasta, Aatish Market and others were witnessed till late night.

Jaipur hosted several Christmas parties at different places including Scorpion ‘a Pub City ‘, White Mushroom, Watch Treat Freak (WTF) Café, Scary Mansion, Stardust Jaipur, Polo Lounge, DND Café and Kitchen and a lot more places.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot held a ‘Janata Darbar’ at his home in Jaipur on the occasion of Christmas and interacted with city residents.
