JAIPUR: A girl accused a man of sexual harassment for two years after she met him online while playing an online video game.
According to the complaint, the accused befriended the victim and lured her to a hotel under the pretext of a meeting where he assaulted her.
He recorded some videos of her in a compromising situation against her will and began blackmailing her. he also promised to marry her. It went on for two years before the victim lodged an FIR at the Bajaj Nagar police station in Jaipur.
According to the police, the 21-year-old victim hails from Pratap Nagar and is currently preparing for a competitive exam. In September 2019, she engaged in an online conversation through a game with the accused, a resident of Haryana. The two became gaming partners on PubG and started communicating through WhatsApp and phone calls.
In July 2021, the accused visited Jaipur and allegedly coerced the victim into meeting him at a hotel near Gandhi Nagar Railway Station. He allegedly sexually assaulted her at the hotel and when she started complaining, he promised to marry her.
He made videos of the victim and subsequently exploited her. The police have launched an investigation.
