JAIPUR: The Rajasthan Housing Board (RHB) has decided to extend the deadline for membership applications for the NRI Club-21. The new deadline for submitting applications is now April 15, providing interested individuals additional time to apply.
Previously, the application window was scheduled to close on March 15. After this initial deadline, the application process was halted. However, RHB officials reported a continued interest in memberships and a demand from the public to reopen the application process.
The membership fees have been revised for those applying during this extended period. The registration fee for new memberships has increased by Rs 1 lakh for different categories. Associate members, who previously paid Rs 3 lakh for membership, will now be required to pay Rs 4 lakh. Similarly, corporate members will see their membership fees increase from Rs 5 lakh to Rs 6 lakh.
RHB Commissioner Pawan Arora stated that between January 26 and March 15, more than 700 people applied for membership, generating a total revenue of Rs 25 crore.
Arora explained the decision to extend the deadline, saying, “We are getting more applications than we initially expected. Keeping in view the demand, we have reopened the application process, but the registration fee has been increased.”
RHB Commissioner Arora shared details about the planned development of the clubhouse in NRI Club-21, which will be built to international standards. The clubhouse will feature 25 rooms and offer a range of amenities, such as sports facilities, a bar, an all-weather swimming pool, and other conveniences for members to enjoy.
In collaboration with private partners, a link road will be constructed to connect Haldighati Road to Club-21, improving access and transportation to the club. Moreover, the remaining land in the vicinity will be utilized to create an island, enhancing the overall beauty of the area surrounding the club.
Club-21 will have separate entry and exit gates to ensure the smooth flow of traffic and provide a sense of exclusivity. Arora further explained that the development of Club-21, including its decoration and furnishing, will be undertaken in partnership with private entities, ensuring that all necessary facilities are provided to meet the highest standards.
