e-course in ayurveda diet and herbology

Jaipur: National Institute of Ayurveda (NIA), Jaipur will soon launch an e-learning course enabling people to learn ancient ways of treating small health problems through Ayurveda herbs and diets. The course will not only help people take benefits of Ayurveda in their daily life, but also raise awareness about ancient Ayurveda treatment methods.

People will be able to enroll in certificate courses in Ayurveda Diet and Ayurveda Herbology. NIA submitted an application to the ministry of AYUSH seeking permission to run these certificate courses. After getting approval from the ministry, the institute has introduced these courses. NIA has been made the nodal agency for running the courses.

The institute has warned people against using the certification for launching a professional medical practice in Ayurveda treatment as it will be illegal. The treatment methods explained in the certificate courses are very basic and will be for personal use only.

While people won’t have to attend classes to complete the course, the certification will be provided only after passing the exam conducted by the institute. The institute will evaluate assignments and conduct a final exam.

The NIA authorities believe people will be able to lead a healthy life and avoid seasonal diseases by gaining knowledge about basic Ayurveda herbology and diet.

NIA is an apex Institute under the Department of AYUSH for promoting the growth and development of Ayurveda. NIA brings scientific outlook to the knowledge of Ayurvedic system of medicine.

The Institute is situated on Amber Road, about 8 kilometers from the Railway Station and about 15 kilometers from the Jaipur International Airport.
